Job Purpose:
Rig/Contracts Co-Ordinator will assist the Resource Manager and Operations Team at a local/regional level by organising drilling personnel, drilling equipment, materials and other resources required to ensure field work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Accountabilities:

*Day to day management of drilling staff & resources
*Maintain forward program for staff utilisation and liaise with other Rig Coordinators to ensure gaps are plugged
*Daily co-ordination with Region specific drilling staff
*Working with Project Managers to organise in-house drilling equipment, materials and other relevant resources to ensure they arrive on site, in time for the efficient running of the projects
*Build & maintain good relationships with suppliers - be aware of new products.
*Take a leading role in the ongoing improvement of the team's health & safety performance
*Ensure all equipment and materials supplied are fit for purpose, safe, to a high standard and meet the specification required for the project
*Conduct sub-contractor appraisals and provide feedback to ensure the best possible service is received
*Conduct regular site audits and feedback to safety & compliance team
*Liaise with Admin staff to maintain order book & accruals and to internal charges are submitted promptly
*Agreed to and sign off driller's expenses
*Ensure all site based personnel have the correct personal protective equipment available to them to full fill the tasks required on site
*Assist Resource & Operations Manager with maintaining and tracking the training requirements of the site operatives, highlight shortfalls when necessary and organise employees to receive appropriate training
*Maintain effective communication with the Drilling Supervisor regarding the regional drilling resource team and maintenance/certification of equipment
*Attend and contribute to regular team meetings

Essential
Knowledge:
*Excellent working knowledge of Geotechnical Site Investigation
*Ability to organise and prioritise workloads
*Good verbal and written communication skills
*Strong leadership skills
*Practical understanding of the application of Health & Safety on a working site
*Good IT skills

Experience:
*Extensive site investigation or construction site experience

Skills/Qualifications:
*SSSTS
*CSCS
*Full, clean UK driving license

Desirable
Knowledge:
*Working knowledge of both Cable, Percussion & Rotary drilling techniques
*Contacts within the drilling industry
*Sound commercial acumen

Experience:
*Experience supervising drill rigs & crews
*Previous management experience
Skills/Qualifications:
*SMSTS
