Head Chef
This fresh food, free-house pub located in the heart of Somerset is looking for a talented and passionate Head Chef to take this 17th century pub forward.
As Head Chef you will need to have a passion for cooking with fresh seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and create modern British and European pub food, catering for up to 60 covers. You will need to be a hands on Head Chef that wants to develop their skills within the small kitchen team and to help coach and develop junior chefs. As Head Chef you will need to have experience of being organised and be able to maintain effective control of GP, labour costs and Kitchen & Food Hygiene.
To be successful you will need to be a strong Sous Chef or Head Chef with a proven and stable CV and a Self-starter who can manage their own time, working in a fresh food led business.
Required Experience:
-Great eye for quality and detail.
-Able to understand how best to use produce and deliver great specials.
-Have the ability to work under pressure and cope with a busy service is essential.
-Stock control, waste management and a solid understanding of food GP.
-Scheduling of the kitchen team within budgeted labour constraints.
-HACCP compliance.
The role is a live out and permanent.
In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
