It's that time of year again. Lots of schools across Derby & Derbyshire have been contacting TeacherActive in preparation for SATS week. They are all looking for experienced KS1 & KS2 teachers to help for the build up to that crucial SATS week.
The roles are very varied, you must be able to work with both lower and higher ability children and have a sound understanding of either KS1 or KS2.You must be able to work independently and plan your own sessions. You must be a very good communicator and time be able to manage your time effectively and give a very comprehensive report to the class teacher, head of year and Head Teacher at the end of each week.
The interview process
You will be given a designated interview date if your application is successful with sufficient time to prepare.
You will need to plan and deliver both a math and English session, you will be informed of available resources, each session must be no longer than a hour long. You must bring planning and be prepared to teach a group of no more than 10, of lower or higher ability children.
You will have a short interview before the sessions followed by a roundup of how you thought they went after and you will be informed up to two days after if you were successful.
The roles are not active straight away but Teacher Active are recruiting ready for next term when demand will go through the roof!!!
