A brand new Part Time opportunity for an Accounts Assistant has arisen within a high profile business based in Farnborough. You'll be joining the team during an exciting transition period for the business, and we're looking for candidates with a genuine desire to learn and further develop a career in accounting.

Ideally we're looking for candidates that would like to work 20-25 hours a week but there is some flexibility for the right candidate.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:

Accounts payable processing and coding
Processing expense claims including credit card/fuel cards
Processing accounts payable payment runs
Processing of BACs Payments
Accounts receivable processing and coding
Credit control duties
Cash flow management
Bank reconciliations
VAT reporting
Journal postings to P&L and balance sheet
Balance sheet reconciliations
Resolution of accounting and posting queries
Month end and yearend functions and reporting
Involvement in forecasting and budgeting process
Ad hoc analysis and reporting
Communicating at all levels within the company

Key attributes:

Attention to detail
Ability to work to demanding deadlines
Willingness to tackle unfamiliar tasks
Ability to prioritise tasks in a complex environment
A team player
Willingness to take ownership of an issue and manage it to successful resolution
Confident user of Microsoft Office Excel/Word/PowerPoint
Exposure to ERP software would be an advantage
