Gap professional are recruiting a Workshop Technician to work alongside a small team of staff who are predominately responsible for the Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) and packaging of machinery sold through my client's internet business. Other responsibilities would also include demonstration and delivery of both Professional and Domestic Grass Machinery, which includes an extensive hire fleet of golf cars and utility vehicles.
** Full Drivers Licence Required **
Duties & responsibilities for the Workshop Technician:
-Ensuring machines are thoroughly checked over and run before dispatching.
-Liaising with warehouse staff to ensure machines are dispatched in a timely manner
-Assembling New Machinery
-Talking to customers on phone answering questions regarding assembly of machines and resolving other issues
-Completing warranty registrations and claims for damaged machinery.
-Delivery, Demonstration and Sale of machinery
-Installation of Machinery
Essential Skills/Experience for the Workshop Technician:
-An understanding of grass machinery would be advantageous although not essential
-Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone
-Be self-motivated
-Clean and tidy general appearance
-Have the ability to work individually and also part of a team
-Sound mechanical background
-Full driving licence
-Hours:
39 hours per week, 8am to 5pm Mon to Thur and 8am to 4pm on a Fri. Saturdays will be as required (overtime paid)
