Apollo Management International LLP (Apollo) is looking to hire a Private Equity Associate to join their Private Equity department.


Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:


·         Performing company and industry due diligence;

·         Analysing business performance trends;

·         Financial modeling and analysis of a variety of capital structures;

·         Participating in deal financings;

·         Legal documentation and closing;

·         Working with external due diligence advisors such as accountants, tax experts, consultants and lawyers to ensure compliance with required legal documentation;

·         Drafting and presenting materials regarding potential investments, economic trends, individual corporations and industries to Apollo professionals at investment committee meetings; Monitoring existing portfolio companies, evaluating platform and add-on acquisitions and assisting with exit alternatives;

·         Applying advanced financial principles to perform extensive company and industry due diligence (including risk assessment and quantitative analysis of statistical information affecting investment programs);

·         Analyzing business performance trends to stay abreast of developments and recognize potentially profitable investment opportunities;

·         Collecting and examining financial information to assist in deal financing and advise on appropriate measures for adjusting investment strategies;

·         Constructing and running detailed financial models of various capital structures, and interpreting gathered data to inform investment decisions;

·         Analysing the performance of existing portfolio companies, evaluating platform and add on acquisitions and assisting with exit alternatives; and

·         Supporting cross platform projects and development


Requirements for the role

The successful candidate must possess all of the following skills, qualifications and experience:


·         Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as an Analyst in a Tier 1 investment bank and/or investment firm

·         Relevant bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution minimum 2:1

·         Academic background in finance, mathematics, economics or equivalent;

·         Quantitative master’s degree is a prerequisite

·         Fluent in English plus another European language (German or French preferred)

·         Ability to prepare bespoke reporting and modelling

·         Ability to perform under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

·         Effective communication skills, verbal and written
