The Company:
* A Menswear Designer is needed to join the head office of a successful brand, working as part of an established and exciting design team. You will work alongside the Senior Menswear Designer assisting with the creative direction and vision of the brand. This is a varied role which includes both design and admin.
The Role:
* Planning and developing ranges to meet briefs.
* Following and updating critical paths.
* Accessories and print design.
* Fabric sourcing.
* Negotiating with customers and suppliers.
* Working as part of the team ensuring products meet customer, market and price points.
* Design and production team admin duties.
Skills Required:
* Minimum of 2 years menswear design experience including range creation and delivery.
* Understanding of design from a technical perspective (garment technology).
* Confident user of both Excel and Adobe programs (predominantly Photoshop and Illustrator).
* Proficient with creating CADs.
* Strong commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail.
* Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Experience with designing or buying womenswear and other product areas is beneficial.
