Bedruthan is a multi-award winning hotel and spa set into a cliff above Mawgan Porth Beach on the North Cornwall coast.

Our hotel has been cherished and nurtured by two generations of the same family for over 50 years to give our guests memorable holidays in this uniquely beautiful place.

Bedruthan is set in a natural playground with the beach just below us and some amazing facilities at the hotel itself. You can stroll along the foreshore, get a surf lesson or two and walk the cliff path to Bedruthan Steps – one of the north coast’s most dramatic beauty spots.

Chef de Partie 

Our friendly brigade delivers creative dishes for our bistro style restaurant, Wild Café, and fine dining restaurant, the Herring.  Wild Café serves simple and contemporary food, made with extraordinarily grown and prepared ingredients. The Herring offers a quiet and intimate dining experience with its own daily changing and seasonal menu.

We are driven by the seasons and inspired by our specialist Cornish growers, farmers and fishermen. Our menus cater for all tastes, using fresh and flavourful produce to create rustic lunches, indulgent treats, healthy dishes and more.

The role of Chef de Partie is to ensure the polished and professional delivery of food operations to the required standards within the hotel on a daily basis; inspiring and enabling the team and leading by example.

Key responsibilities include:

• Correct portion control and amount of “mise en place” are prepared and set up for service
• Food is prepared and cooked to agreed standards
• Assist with maintaining regular stock rotation

The ideal person will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar size establishment,  basic food hygiene certificate with knowledge and understanding of international cookery. 

We can provide training for a variety of kitchen skills and there is opportunity for you to do NVQs.

We provide training for health & safety, food hygiene and sustainability.
