Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Co-ordinator in our Finance Department.  This role has responsibility for the provision of an accurate, timely and efficient payroll service to the College and any 3rd party clients.  The successful post holder will ensure that the College is compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements in relation to payroll, taxation, pensions and national insurance.   You will ensure that amounts due are paid on time.

Responsibilities will vary but will include processing of the monthly payrolls, supporting staff with payroll queries and provision of reporting relating to payroll.  There may be other tasks, as directed by the Deputy Head of Finance and/or Director of Finance.

This role works closely with the HR team using a shared system to drive all elements of the payroll.

The successful candidate will hold Grade C (Level 4-9) in English and Maths, payroll experience in a similar or larger organisation, experience of working with accounting and/or Finance/Payroll software, used Excel to manipulate data and has prepared financial reports and reconciliations. You will have a flexible approach to work undertaken and be able to cope with multiple and often tight deadlines. Having used MHR iTrent would be a bonus.
