We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Office Based Account Manager to join the Marketing Team to develop, grow and maintain a range of prospective and existing accounts for Essar, with the primary focus on commercial end user customers.
Responsibilities will include account management for a specified portfolio of customers to deliver the sales plan on margin and volume. You will develop and maintain relationships with customers at senior level within the business and coordinate the activities such as negotiating and agreeing contracts with new and existing customers to achieve overall sales targets. As an Office Based Account Manager you will provide technical and commercial understanding of the product and supply chain to create added value for the customer. You will use management information and data with a view to deliver continuous improvement and steer business decisions. You will work with the wider Essar teams across Marketing, Trading and the refinery to provide efficient cost effective services to the customer that generate additional margin for our business. This role has a direct impact on our business mission to delight our existing customers and grow margin from new market share.
Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or an equivalent standard and possess demonstrable experience in sales and business development role (preferably within the industry or equivalent industries). Ideally you should have experience of developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts, and have the ability to demonstrate proficiency in:
- selling and negotiating
- understanding and analysing market related data
- focus on excellent customer service
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate technical literacy and understanding of the fuel market and supply chains. However, you may be a recent graduate who is an outgoing, logical thinker with some experience in a similar commercial office environment with a drive to develop your career in a results focused commercial environment.
