Grant Thornton's Special Projects team exists to respond to this - providing an agile, high quality response to wide variety of client accounting needs. The Operations Assistant plays a pivotal role within this department, supporting the operations team in facilitating the smooth running of the Special Projects service line, taking responsibility for key areas of compliance and helping to drive clarity and efficiency in operational processes.

The successful candidate must be available for 7 months from 9 December 2019.

What you'll be doing:

* Overall responsibility for Take On process for Special Projects Service Line, from initiation through to completion.

* Responsible for monitoring and tracking compliance at a project level with internal processes

* Is the primary point of contact for departmental queries regarding Take On

* Assist the team in organising relevant meetings or events through the life cycle of a project, from the point of identifying opportunities to project completion

* Supporting to the special projects team in coordinating travel and accommodation for core team members and scheduling / coordinating team meetings

* Drafting and tracking Letters of Engagement (LoEs)

* Updating and maintaining Interaction (CRM system) including pipeline and opportunities

* Tracking and coordinating client service reviews

* Reviewing the storage of documentation on Livelink / Hard copies

* Providing thoughts and insights into internal processes and improving efficiencies where possible

* Working with managers to track opportunities and assignments

* Supporting the Special Projects Director with ad hoc tasks

Who we're looking for:

* Maths and English at GCSE grade C or equivalent (minimum criteria)

* Minimum of 2 years administrative work experience (minimum criteria)

* Strong communication and people skills

* Organisational skills

* Experience of relevant systems such as InterAction and Appian (desirable)
