You’ll be supporting those who deliver care to individuals with autism and will be able to build a strong network of carers across the region who provide outstanding care and support.

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Autism Practitioner, you will be tasked with managing and leading support services for individuals with autism in the West Lothian and Edinburgh areas.

Line managing Autism Practitioners, you will ensure services are delivered in a compliant manner and lead on improvements and the development of support services.

Additionally, you will link professionals and services users’ families and signpost to other services that may be of assistance.

What will I need?

To join us as a Senior Autism Practitioner, you will need:

- Autism knowledge or a background in psychology, sociology, education or social work
- Experience in management and/or supervision

An SVQ Level 4 would be beneficial, however this is not essential.

Other organisations may call this role Senior Autism Officer, Senior Autism Advisor, Senior Social Care Worker, Social Care Manager, Social Care Team Lead, Care Team Manager, or Senior Social Worker.
