My client, one of the largest legal practices in the country, is looking for a residential property solicitor or a licensed conveyancer to work in their Canterbury office. My client is ranked in both the latest editions of Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 independent legal directories. They are rapidly growing and have the commitment and desire to grow further.

My client has offices in London and Kent that offer a friendly and pleasant working environment. They support flexible working practices, implement family friendly initiatives and assist employees to achieve a balance in their work commitments and their life outside of work.

This role sits within the property group specialising in residential conveyancing. The skills and experience required for this role are as follows:

* Be able to take on a substantial caseload of residential property fee earning work on behalf of clients

* Attend client meetings and take instructions and be able to generate suitable client correspondence

* Be able to ensure that files are billed promptly, and fees collected as per the credit control procedures

* Be able to complete work in an efficient and effective manner within the parameters of ISO 9001 standards and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS)

* Be able to attend and contribute to the Property Group meetings, including taking on reasonable tasks to assist the practice area

* Be able to draft legal documents as required

Essential skills (Required)

* A qualified solicitor of 3 years PQE admitted by the Law Society of England / CILEx qualified Legal Executive / Residential Conveyancer

* Previous experience in property fee earning work

Soft skills (Desired)

* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and client management skills

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package

* Previous experience of using a case management system (desirable)

* Ability to priories workload effectively
