Temporary position for 18 months initially
Our client is a value-orientated Housing Association working together to create communities where people want to live. They manage circa 5,500 homes over a wide geographical area and their residents include families, older people and those in need of special care and support.
This is an exciting opportunity to join their newly-redeveloped Property Services Team. They are looking for a Fire Safety Manager for an initial period of 18 months. Based at their head office in Chester, with regular travel through the region and to other locations within the group, you will undertake the role of competent person in relation to the Group's statutory obligations for Fire Safety.
You will manage the approach to Fire Safety to ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, including the development and implementation of an effective risk management approach to compliance within the Group.
They are looking for a suitably qualified individual to work with the Assistant Director of Communities and Customer Service and Assistant Director of Property Services in developing a fire strategy for all of their properties, including associated re-design works to properties accommodating recommendations made by the Groups Fire Risk Assessors.
It is essential for success that you possess excellent communication skills, so you are able to relay complex information and build constructive relationships, influencing and managing expectations where necessary to guarantee positive outcomes.
