A large healthcare organisation is currently looking to appoint a Senior Clinical Governance professional for an initial period of 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Expert knowledge of risk management and governance systems , enhancing current systems on place to achieve improved outcomes for patients;
Implement the ongoing agenda around patient safety, including the enhancement of clinical standards of care within the organisation; ensuring that this agenda and topic is at the forefront of the organisation's agenda;
Ensure that the organisation complies with statutory, regulatory, contractual and best practice requirements in relation to clinical governance and quality, with effective assurance monitoring processes are in place;
Play an integral part in the organisations CQC agenda, looking at related core services and Well-led CQC agenda;
Enable the co-ordination and implementation of the Trust Quality Strategy and the associated reporting on performance;
Support and contribute to the various committees and groups existing to address clinical governance and risk management issues including preparation and presentation of reports related;
Management of the Trusts Risk Management Forums, monthly programme for all staff and weekly programme, ensuring the dissemination of learning from risk management issues.
A successful candidate will have:
A senior background in clinical governance within a healthcare setting;
Ideally clinical background, do not need current registration;
Understanding of the CQC agenda, how this is related to governance, patient safety, risk management and quality assurance;
Demonstrated experience working at Head of/AD level within healthcare settings.
