For over 60 years, our client has been growing some of the finest quality produce in the UK. Starting as a small farming establishment in the 1950s, this family owned farming business now grows over 100 varieties of fruits, vegetables, salads and herbs across multiple sites throughout the South East. Due to their sustained growth, this commercial farm is now seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to assist in salad and vegetable production as they continue to embark on their ambitious plans for the future.

The Job:

This will be a varied job that will require you to carry out a number of tasks such as all crop production duties, staff management duties, working to budgets and dealing with suppliers.

Requirements:

We would like to hear from you if you have UK experience of growing salad, vegetable or combinable crops. Having fresh produce experience will give you an advantage; however we still want to hear from those who have come from an arable background as we are more dedicated to finding candidates with the right attitude. A degree in agriculture or horticulture is ideal; however, if you have the relevant experience but no degree, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
It is important that you realise this is not a 9 to 5 position and you will be required to work extra hours, including weekends. We are therefore looking for committed, passionate and hardworking individuals who are determined to establish a long term career in farm management.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

To apply:

This job is a challenging yet rewarding position that is a brilliant opportunity for ambitious and motivated Assistant Farm Managers that are keen to progress and develop their career.
