Our client is a Town Planning Consultancy with over 20 years' experience within public and private sectors. They work throughout the country with a wide range of clients both large and small. They assist with all types of planning applications, planning appeals, S106 negotiations, Site appraisals and more.
Due to current workload, they are now seeking a Chartered Town Planner to join their team in South Wales.
Duties to include:
Assisting the planning department in effective working relationships with local authorities, GLA, consultants and agents within the client's area of operation.
Responsible for preparing planning appraisals for each new potential acquisition.
Conduct research and analysis in preparing due diligence for potential acquisition sites including planning policy and planning history including on neighbouring sites.
Assist with preparing planning applications, including planning statements.
Attend planning meetings and keeping the management team fully informed of any issues and progress.
To be considered for this role the successful candidate must have 2 to 4 years' experience within the public or private sectors, MRTPI qualified, minimum of a bachelor's degree in town planning. Must have a sound knowledge and experience of the UK planning system and experience liaising with planning authorities.
Commutable Areas: Cardiff, Newport, Bristol, Barry, Cwmbran, Chepstow, Pontypool, Penarth.
