Location: Shrewsbury

Salary: £33,500 – 36,720 per annum

Permanent, 37 hours per week

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Asset Surveyor to be based in Shrewsbury.

In this key role you will be responsible for the effective day to day delivery of a professional, cost effective, customer focussed repair works service. Proactive in your approach you will be a responsible member of Asset Management and contribute to the successful delivery and development of the overall business.

Other duties will involve providing in depth technical building pathology and building surveying guidance to the Asset Management team in relation reactive and void maintenance. You will also undertake complex technical inspections as required and provide appropriate technical solutions and manage any works arising through to completion. In addition you will also be responsible for the day to day supervision of technical works contractors reporting to the post ensuring the effective use of their and other company resources.

The successful candidate must have experience of building surveying and complex defect diagnosis within domestic buildings, an understanding of health and safety regulations and relevant statutory regulations relating to housing providers. Knowledge of building regulations, gas and electrical safety and asbestos awareness is also required. You are required to be a professionally qualified Building or Quantity Surveyor to a minimum of HND in a Construction related discipline. A MRICS/CIOB is preferred with evidence of CPDA.

Due to the nature of the role a current valid driving license along with access to a suitable vehicle will be required.
