A leading set specialising in Commercial Law are currently seeking a Marketing and Events Assistant to assist the Business Development Manager in all areas of the marketing strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills to progress in their career within chambers. You will be responsible for website management, social media, events and seminars as well as legal directories and a weekly newsletter.

Website Management & Social Media:

* Updates to website content; news posts, events, publications, profiles and podcast episodes

* Creating relevant imagery for website content where necessary using Photoshop and/or InDesign

* Frequently reviewing the website and conversing with the website management company to find new ideas and ways to develop the website as a whole

* Search Engine Optimisation

* Assisting the Business Development Manager with social media content (e.g. on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram)

Events & Seminars

* Assisting in the running of all events including seminars and conferences, regional client parties, the annual summer party, lunches, dinners and drinks receptions. This includes;

* Researching and booking venues

* Dealing with suppliers and caterers

* Preparation of marketing materials - invitation design, branded handouts, PowerPoint etc

* Social media

* Other ad hoc support

* Attending Chambers marketing functions where necessary

* Organise individual speaking opportunities at client firms throughout the year. This includes;

* Contacting client firms with talk offers

* Diary management

* Management of Chambers talks list

Legal Directories

* Assistance with directory submissions

* Annual updates to barrister biographies on directory websites and publications

Weekly Newsletter

* Check all dairies for marketing events and compline a list for inclusion in the weekly internal newsletter

Miscellaneous

* Continuous review and improvement of all marketing / BD functions

* Diary management

* Maintain client database

* General administration

* Compile marketing and travel itinerary documents for international marketing where necessary

* Supporting Chambers PA with internal events, gifts etc. where necessary

Person Specification

* Alevels- A and B grade.

* IT literate (Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel). Essential; knowledge of design software such as Photoshop or InDesign
