Production/Technical Supervisor

A leading manufacturer and distributor is looking for a production/technical supervisor to join their team. This newly created role , is due an exciting re -structure within this growing and evolving business. Reporting directly to the Operations manager, you will be responsible for supervising all production both on site and by outworkers who provide assembly off site.
Your duties will include:
" Managing the lighting board assembly team
" Ensuring all products meet the required quality standard and customer specification
" Completion of work instructions and work-flow mapping
" Monitoring and performance and ensuring targets are met
" Work to agreed lead times to ensure the warehouse have stock availability to be able to despatch customers orders on time
" Quality assurance - ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and waste is minimised.
" Responsible for all staff holidays, attendance, appraisals, disciplinary's and all recruitment
" Develop and motivate staff to improve performance and understand company procedures and requirements
" Be fully aware of company procedures regarding Health & Safety and accident reporting
" Contribute to the operations team by attending relevant meetings
" Budgetary control for your department
" Provide absence and holiday cover for other supervisors
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for a team of 6 personnel, including CAD drawings and technical specification. You will also be responsible for sub-contractors in Stafford.
Candidates with Auto Cad experience or have an understanding of technical drawings will be highly regarded, coupled with any electrical assembly or electrical wiring skills.
Attractive salary on offer of up to GBP30,000 + paid overtime and quarterly bonus. Hours of work 07:30am - 16:30pm Monday to Thursday and 07:30am - 16:00pm Friday.
