Major organisatio are looking to recruit a Health, Safety, Security & Assurance (HSSA) Manager to take responsibility for the management of Health, Safety, Security and Assurance for the logistics business function.

Description
Working with the Head of HSSA, the Health, Safety, Security & Assurance Manager will lead a team of Advisers and take responsibility for the management of Health, Safety, Security and Assurance for the whole of the logistics operation. You will need to manage all the activities of HSSA function with regards to logistics, maintaining and monitoring HSSA systems and procedures and providing support where necessary across the wider business.
You will introduce and implement new methods, techniques and technologies to drive a proactive HSSA management agenda, liaising closely with the businesses to ensure consistency of approach and application. Working closely with other HSSA Managers & Advisors across the businesses; you will drive HSSA performance improvement through behavioural change and active promotion of workforce engagement.
As the HSSA Manager you will provide practical advice, guidance and support on all aspects of HSSA in addition to assisting with the development and implementation of effective systems to enable the businesses to comply with statutory duties and policies.
You will ensure that Health and Safety is always at the forefront of management thinking throughout the business.
Profile
The HSSA Manager will have:
NEBOSH Diploma, CMIOSH or member of appropriate safety organisation
Experience of producing policy and procedures and of implementing them into a business
Full understanding of safety legislation to include business relevant regulations
Proven track record of implementing Health and Safety standards in operational environment
Ideally, you will have knowledge of quality systems, such as ISO 9001 and 18001
Experience and knowledge of Health, Safety, Security and Assurance with regards to logistics and haulage
Full driving licence to travel to the different sites.
