Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in Northamptonshire in the search for a Projects Officer to join their delivery team in the Town Planning department on an initial 6 month contract - Part Time.
As a Planning and Projects Officer you will work on a number of housing projects and be required to work on both the delivery and policy side of the role. The successful candidate will manage and take the lead on their own caseload of planning applications. These will cover a wide variety of cases including brownfields, customer self-builds, and garden village projects.
Experience within Planning or housing is necessary, it would also be beneficial to hold a Post-graduate degree in planning or a related discipline, and have the eligibility for membership of RTPI.
This contract will last for an initial 6-month period, however, it is likely that this will roll on.
The council are looking for candidates who will be able to hit the ground running and are offering flexible working hours.
