We are recruiting for a field-based Sales Engineer who has solid experience in 3, 4 or 5 axis milling, programming and process improvement.
A proven track record in sales, account management and generating new leads would be advantageous but we are willing to work with the right engineer to develop this skill set if needed.

Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will be expected to achieve revenue growth targets in both high performance and standard end mill sales, whilst providing continuous support to existing customers and end users. You will be hardworking, driven, and hungry for success.
What you will do…
+ Take responsibility for revenue and gross profit margins with trading accounts to maximise sales and profit
+ Generate opportunities and conduct tool trials with the end user
+ Sell and establish our products with the end user via select distribution
+ Train distribution sales personnel and end users on the features and benefits of our products
+ Use your knowledge of customer demands to assist the Sales Manager with budget planning, distribution selection and forecasting
+ Research and report market trends in relation to our products, to support product development and marketing strategies
+ Act as Technical Advisor at selected trade shows
+ Cover all customers across the South West, from Swindon westwards down to South Devon, to include Bristol, Exeter and Plymouth.
What are we looking for? We will ask you to demonstrate…
+ An Engineering qualification (i.e. HNC, HND in Engineering) plus technical expertise and product / cutting tool knowledge
+ Evidence of 3, 4 or 5 axis milling experience, ideally with programming and process improvement experience
+ A positive, ‘can do’ attitude with a flexible, reliable approach to meeting business needs
+ A passion for customer service and enjoys solving customer problems
+ A high level of energy and drive and is strongly motivated to achieve
+ Evidence of working proactively and with determination
+ Evidence of excellent communication skills through face to face, telephone and email – demonstrates effective listening and understanding of the issues
+ The ability to work well without continual direction and instruction from others. Evidence of strong prioritisation, planning and organisational skills
+ Shows ability to problem solve, overcome obstacles and make things happen
+ A personal pride in your work and a focus on delivering quality
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office
+ A full, valid driving licence
It will be advantageous if you can also demonstrate…
+ Evidence of a successful track record of meeting growth sales targets
+ A commercial awareness and understanding of sales financial principles - understands cost and pricing and impact on margins
+ Evidence of successfully managing projects
+ A successful approach to building and developing long lasting relationships with clients
+ Evidence of strong influencing skills

Our modern office and manufacturing facilities are located in Wokingham, Berkshire – our Sales Engineers are home-based but out in the field much of the time visiting customers. Some visits to our Wokingham Head Office will be required.
