Salary: GBP20,824 pa (GBP10.51 per hour)

Hours: 38 hours

Our client is a charitable organisation that has purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for people living with dementia.

We have 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained houses, each of which has its own living room and dining room. All three Houses have access to the home's wheelchair accessible, gardens.

People are supported by the team to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person's level of need. Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming environment for the people that live in the home and have received training to support people with varying levels of need.

We have a non-uniform policy at Holmers House where we encourage the team to be able to express themselves and show off their own unique personality. This in turn allows people living in the home to feel more at home, allowing people to feel relaxed, happy and comforted every day.

Our team support people to live as independent a life as any health condition will allow.

Our ideal candidate will have:

QCF Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)

Supervisory experience desirable

Experience of supporting people living with a dementia

Be prepared to work towards any relevant qualification

The ability to work with the manager, the senior team and the organization, to develop and implement change

To take responsibility for the management of the home and the care and support of the people we support during the night

To ensure that the manager or On Call manager is contacted in the event of notifiable incidents/accidents

To use computers on a regular basis

Use care management systems to access and update residents' information, including care plans, and to access and update other home data

Access Heritage Care resources, for example, staff website, online payslips and undergo e-learning

Use basic software packages to record and access information

Use computers to support individuals in their daily lives

To act as a role model and promote a positive image of the service and Heritage Care at all times.

The postholder may be directed from time to time by the appropriate Manager to carry out other duties and responsibilities commensurate with his/her post, grade, knowledge and experience.

An awareness and understanding of high quality care.

Good communication skills, patience and flexibility.

An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support.

A flexible working pattern and able to do shift patterns including working alternate weekends.

Shift patterns will be 21:15pm-07:15am
