Senior Automation Engineer - Pharmaceutical/ Food/FMCG - Hertfordshire - Salary DOE

My client is a leading pharmaceutical company in the Hertfordshire of the U.K and they are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. Ideally experienced in the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry my client need solid grounding in automation ideally from a degree or extensive experience. Ideally you will have experience of multiple projects on Siemens systems as well as experience in a manufacturing environment supporting Troubleshooting. Responsibilities;

• Working Cross functionally with key stakeholders in the business to set site automation strategy in line with changing industry standards and new technology
• Manage all automation and control aspects of capital projects working closely with process and project engineering teams and external contractors
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for ongoing issues relating to manufacturing
• Develop and train other members of staff on activities relating to Automation and controls
• Lead commissioning and validation activities relating to Automation

Requirements;

• Degree Level Education preferable in process/chemical, automation, electronics or extensive experience
• Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or related industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment with experience of biochemical processing unit operations
• Knowledge of GAMP regulations
• Demonstrated experience with control and automation systems specification, programming and optimization (ideally S7/PCS7)
