NEW BUSINESS SALES EXECUTIVE
We are a Tier 1 approved supplier of Electrical and Mechanical airport infrastructure services and resources to Heathrow Airport and its subsidiary companies. We are based in Colnbrook, Berkshire.
Organic and consistent business growth has created an opportunity for a talented New Business Sales Executive to join our team in this role. Reporting directly to the directors of the business, the successful candidate will be responsible for bringing new business opportunities to the company and expand our client base and sales growth. You will also be expected to identify, develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients of the company.
To be considered for the New Business Sales Executive role you must be resilient and hardworking. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in the mechanical and electrical, fit out, design-build-install and maintain projects industry, though this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* A proven history of winning, developing, negotiating and closing new business opportunities.
* Attend weekly sales meeting with sales reports and forecasts.
* Providing knowledge on selling managed services.
* Develop your own client base from scratch, using your sales capabilities to generate your own leads by cold calling potential clients.
* Implementing strategic sales plans.
* Representing the company at live sales events, exhibitions and tradeshows as required.
* Attaining and maintaining an appropriate level of product and market knowledge to ensure prospective clients are given accurate expectations of products and services.
* Sharing knowledge with colleagues for the good of the team and the business.
* Assistance with the support team's effort when required, mindful of the long-term benefit to sales.
* Representing the business in line with company values at all times.
* Responsibility for customer care and customer service at all times.
* To have responsibility, to continually help and improve the processes relating to the Organisations Quality Management System.
* Fully comply with the Company Health & Safety Procedures.
* To have responsibility, to continually help and improve the processes relating to statutory and regulatory requirements of the Organisation.
* Any other duties that the company may reasonably ask you to perform which are within your expertise and skill sets.
Key Accountabilities
* Working to targets and KPIs and achieve personal and group targets as set and agreed.
* Accountable for new business development - identifying, develop and build a pipeline of clients within our target market and handling day to day sales related enquiries.
* Responsibly for the management of opportunities in CRM.
* Responsible for the full-cycle of new business through to Account Management ie, preparation of quotations and proposals for clients.
* Responsible for managing commercial and contract agreements with new business sign ups.
* Responsible for researching market developments and trends.
Key Skills/Experience
* At least 3 years proven track record in a field-based role within the M&E, Fit Out, Design-Build-Install and Maintain Projects Industry.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Consultative sales acumen, commerical awareness whilst having flexibility and adaptability to any situation.
* Strong negotiating skills, ability to build relationships and possess customer focus.
* Ability to prioritise.and work well under pressure.
* Understanding of longer sales cycles and consultative selling positions.
* You must have DRIVE and ENERGY! We want people who are passionate about what they do and has the will to succeed no matter what.
* Excellent networking, business, time management and attention to detail skills.
* Clear 5 year history, criminal record check and hold a full UK driving licence.
