Our client is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.

They are looking to appoint a Photography and Film Instructor Demonstrator within the faculty of Arts & Digital Industry where you will hold workshop development sessions for practical activities. This is a full time position, 40 weeks of the year based at our Hull campus to cover a period of maternity leave.

Within the role you will provide support for student learning activities in workshops and one to one situations, giving teaching support on projects and assignments set by academic staff. Delivering high quality resource management including specialist equipment, you will secure work placements and monitor and support students on work experience, including the maintenance of records.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject, Maths and English to Level 2 and hold (or be willing to work towards) a relevant Level 3 teaching qualification e.g. PTLLS

With recent and relevant experience of Photography and Film, you will have a knowledge and understanding of various qualifications within this area, coupled with experience of demonstrating techniques for specialist areas (e.g. technical equipment, hardware, software). With a positive can do attitude and the ability to motivate students, you will be able to work across the age and ability range in a classroom, workshop and one to one situations.
