Our client based in Luton is an established not-for-profit association. They currently have a fantastic, once in a lifetime opportunity for a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic customer focussed senior manager to take responsibility for producing, developing and implementing a results-driven, fully integrated purposeful employment strategy to support the delivery of the business objectives. The core focus of the strategy will be to create achievable employment opportunities (voluntary and paid) for their customers.

Responsibilities - Employability Development Manager:

Embedding the services identity and ethos to act as a platform to support future development plans.
Identifying relevant funding opportunities and managing the bid process, working closely with external bid writer.
Development and identification of external partnerships to meet business objectives that benefit the development of the purposeful employment strategy.
Identifying or commissioning relevant market research to further understand the causes and impact of poverty as well as barriers to purposeful employment.
Working closely with the Director of People Excellence in the set-up of an in-house recruitment/training agency.
Owning the purposeful employment planning process, developing and reviewing all activity utilising analysis and insight to improve service effectiveness.
Advocating purposeful employment across the business, working with others to build personal resilience and self-esteem of customers who are long-term unemployed.
Owning, devising and delivering individual, measurable plans for purposeful employment (including voluntary) opportunities both at the company and external businesses, designed to meet targets in line with the purposeful employment strategy.
Maximising the effectiveness of the purposeful employment budget and setting the department's KPI's.
Working closely with the marketing and communications service to develop the purposeful employment service's digital footprint and marketing campaigns through relevant channels and content.
Leading relevant projects as required, managing them from end to end with clear objectives and outcomes. Staff Management:

Identifying resource needs (voluntary and paid) to develop a small Purposeful Employment Services team.
Successfully obtain funding to recruit to paid roles within the team.
Lead, motivate and develop team to deliver the day to day purposeful employment activities, effectively managing performance through coaching conversations.
Work with the team to ensure plans are in place to meet specific key performance indicators and objectives.
