Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Account Management Officer on a 2 months contract with a possibility of an extension.

Purpose of the role -

To support the commercial waste service with responsibility to administer and manage commercial waste accounts, payment queries, debt, sales support and business administration.

To provide advice and support to customers, partners and stakeholders.

To assist in the provision of an effective, high value, customers focused commercial waste service.

Duties/Responsibilities -

Effectively and efficiently deal with all enquiries and disputes from businesses in a positive, professional, yet sensitive manner.
Account manage contracted customers and other stakeholders, dealing with queries complaints and additional orders.
Process all new, amended and deleted contracts and invoices and credits as required.
Assist with the marketing and sales to increase proactive sales for non-contracted customers.
Perform any administrative tasks required as part of the role including the management of; incoming and outgoing mail/email, phone enquiries, general enquiries and process special collection requests.
Manage internal contracts for council properties and housing and sub contracts.
Directing customers to the business portal and assist in the sales and marketing of services to new customers.
Perform any administrative tasks required as part of the roll including updating spread sheets/databases.
Assist with the formation of annual business plans and any required action plans.
To work occasional evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service.
Assist with debt management including credit calling and exclusion process.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications/Experience -

Excellent knowledge of Information Technology Systems.
Excellent customer service skills including the ability to handle difficult customers and situations.
Excellent personal and office organisational skills, including prioritisation.
Excellent communication skills
Experience of working in an office environment.
Is a team player and can create and maintain a positive attitude to the team, proven through performance improvements and high moral.
Ability to listen, effectively extract important information and communicate this onward using different means.
Good negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.
Methodically approaches a large workload and ability to provide accurate work that meets tight deadlines.
Is a team player and can create and maintain a positive attitude to the team, proven through performance improvements and high morale.
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Ability to identify and implement improvements to assist in the continual improvement of the service.
