Permanent Estates Manager Job working for a public sector body.

Your new company
You will be working for a public-sector organisation as an Estates Manager. This is a permanent role working for a diverse, growing organisation. They are a small to medium sized organisation surrounded by beautiful landscapes with a great workforce who are friendly and driven.

Your new role
You will be providing an efficient estate management and valuation service in respect of the council's interests in land and property. Key duties include:

To assist the Regeneration and Property Manager in the day to day management of the Asset Management service.
To certify property valuations on behalf of the organisation.
To assist in the management and administration of all the property holdings.
To provide an appropriate and professional advice service regarding valuation matters and taking appropriate action as required.
The management of commercial premises, including rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments, termination of tenancies, dilapidations and arranging repairs and improvements with the technical officers where necessary.
To negotiate the sale, lease or purchase of land and property, achieving the best consideration reasonably obtainable and in line with the organisations policy.
To undertake or supervise chosen suppliers in valuing items on the organisations asset register and valuations for insurance purposes and the ensure that valuation record are kept up to date.
To help prepare plans for Asset Management under the direction of the Regeneration & Property Manager and contribute to other strategic property initiatives as required.
To co-ordinate the provision of plan preparation and be responsible for helping maintain the land terrier ownership records
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you need to be experience with the duties above and have worked in a public-sector environment. You will need to be a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) or equivalent and have a clean driving licence.
