Workshop Manager required. My client is a provider of Agricultural and Horticultural Machinery who is now seeking a Workshop Manager to join their team in the Essex area. This position would suit a workshop Manager with previous Engineering experience. It is expected that the Yard Manager Engineer will be based in a commutable distance of Essex.
Successful candidates will be keen and driven to ensure high levels of customer service whilst ensuring technicians are motivated to carrying out first class repairs.
Workshop Manager Position Overview
Plan & Organise the workload for a busy workshop
Day to day running of the workshop (signing off timesheets, jobcards, invoices etc)
Complete/Sign-off required paperwork for each job accurately, on a timely basis and to budget.
Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard to meet customers' expectations.
Prepare quotations & deal with any enquiries to do with repairs to machines (horticultural and agricultural)
Adhere to health and Safety responsibilities at all times, ensure that the workshop area and yard is kept clean and tidy in accordance with company initiatives
Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
Effective communication with staff members across the business in a professional manner and willingness to work in a team environmentWorkshop Manager Position Requirements
Be organized and have the ability to multitask efficiently
Advantage would be to have the ability to diagnose and repair horticultural/agricultural machinery and tractors.
Must have good knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and electrics
Will have excellent customer, communication and interpersonal skills.
Have an excellent level of IT skills
Strong attention to detail
Is willing to work additional hours during busy periods and as the business requires
Can remain calm under pressure
Forklift licence would be advantageous
Workshop Manager Position Remuneration
GBP32,000 - GBP35,000 dependant on experience
Monday - Friday 8:00 - 17:00 and every other Saturday
20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
