Supplying a wide range of chilled and prepared products into some of the biggest names in the market, this client has developed a diverse product portfolio that includes some of the most recognizable brands on our shelves.
As Technical standards move into a new phase, our client is getting the head of the curve by appointing an experienced Quality/Technical Manager to lead their team and develop relationships with existing customers.
Reporting directly into the Operations Manager this Technical Manager role will be a holistic role with team, factory and customer facing duties. Offering a diverse range of challenges and a genuine opportunity to make your mark on a company.
Duties in this role will include:
* Leadership and Training of the Quality and Technical Teams on site
* Maintenance of the BRC standards
* HACCP and COSSH control
* Working with retail and manufacturing customers to ensure the highest level possible
* Reporting all Quality and Technical issues to the Operational teams
* Implementation & maintenance of internal site procedures & policies.
* Customer and authority visit and audit co-ordination.
* Driving continuous improvement
* Upkeep of all technical documentation
* Customer specification upkeep.
* Maintenance of site PC system (QC & stock data capture)
* Upkeep of quality control, and quality assurance systems
* System developments / improvement initiatives
* External analysis sample collation, testing and result checking.
In order to qualify for this role Ideally you will have:
* An experienced QA or Quality Manager with demonstrable team leadership experience
* HAACP level 4 minimum
* Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
* Confidence in a customer facing role
* In depth knowledge of Food Manufacturing processes
* Right to work in the UK and Full UK Driving License
* Food Hygiene Level 4
* Strong eye for detail and problem-solving skills
