Staffing / General Office Elements:
Monitor and maintain effective productivity levels within the Travel Team
* Responsible for the competence of the operations team and liaise with the Training Department to arrange appropriate training as necessary
* Overall efficiency, timekeeping, sickness, absence and conduct of Travel Team staff should be monitored and managed. Appropriate disciplinary action should be taken in consultation with the Head of Operations & Account Manager as required
* Assist the Account Manager with recruitment of new staff members
* Leads the on-boarding process to ensure new joiners settle quickly and have all the information they need
* Update the team with new processes, policies and procedures as and when required
* Have a strong understanding of the end-to-end booking process of all booking types (booking through to payment) and Travel MI including savings, budget and commission reports
* Ensure that a flow of communication and information is maintained throughout the Travel Team and regular team meetings and staff 121's are held. A positive mindset and environment should be created for the team
* Conduct regular formal and informal reviews with Travel Team staff. An annual formal written appraisal for each team member must also be undertaken, measured against their objectives
* Support business Travel Con with allocating team resource for productions
* Reviewing hand over material with all consultants prior to their time off
* Sharing responsibility of being a contact (on call) for the out of hours service
* Manage and assist with booking system queries and work with the technology team to resolve system failures
