Marketing Manager – Projects (FTC 18 Months)
Slough, Berkshire

Do you enjoy identifying opportunities for new resources, markets and marketing channels? Are you motivated by developing brand strategies? Looking to use your marketing and communication skills to support an organisation that is wholly focused on making a difference to the educational outcomes of children and young people?

As our new Marketing Manager – Projects, you’ll drive a variety of sales, marketing and market research activities to grow the NFER Classroom brand and our product strategy. 

We’re a not-for-profit charity, supporting thousands of schools, and work in partnership with teachers and school leaders to ensure that our products and services make a positive difference to education.

Key areas of your role include:
- Supporting product strategy development activities: researching, scoping, costing and writing-up proposals for new opportunities
- Completing market research projects to establish market needs and interest
- Development and delivery of plans for new sales channels
- Developing the NFER Classroom brand: delivering and measuring the impact of the brand strategy to increase reach and impact with schools
- Leading the marketing for NFER’s Teacher Voice

About the team
Our product marketing team sits within our Sales, Marketing and Impact team, a multi-disciplinary group of friendly and dedicated professionals who all support each other. The team benefit from inspirational yet personable leadership and are empowered to put forward new ideas and drive NFER’s visibility and impact forward.

About you
It goes without saying that you’ll come from a marketing and communications background with a wealth of experience in driving sales, marketing and communication plans and activities.

With strong commercial acumen, you’ll have experience in assessing market needs and identifying opportunities.

You’ll have a high standard of written and verbal communications skills with experience in developing written proposals.

You may have previously held titles such as Marketing Manager, Marketing Communications Manager, or Communications Manager.
