NDT Personnel are excited to be recruiting for an established NDT capital equipment manufacturer located in South Yorkshire. Our client is a renowned name within its sector, specialising in the manufacture of equipment associated with Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant techniques, with diverse market presence in many sectors, including Aerospace, Rail and Oil & Gas.

The role:

The role is for an Electrical/Electro-mechanical Technician to work in a busy Workshop and complete all electrical activities relating to their product manufacture (ranging from small hand-held equipment, through to large machines) for the NDT industry.

Experience required (essential):

* Electrical Engineering Qualification NVQ Level 2-3

* Basic electronics experience/electrical panel building experience

* Ability to read wiring diagrams

* Experience in a Workshop environment using light machinery

Desirable experience (in-house training provided where necessary):

* Worked with Pneumatics

* PCB assembly experience

The person:

* Effective communication and organisational skills

* A team player with the ability to work independently and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

* Basic IT skills to access CAD drawings

* Clean driving licence to travel off site (occasionally)

The role attracts a salary band of between GBP22k-GBP24k and offers support and development to the right individual.

Due to the location of the business, applications are encouraged from those located up to a maximum of an hour's commute from Sheffield.
