Do you have local authority experience? Are you able to provide benefit assessments over the phone?

A local authority based in Telford has a number of interim vacancies within their busy Benefits call centre. They are keen to work with people who have:

Knowledge of Northgate/iWorld
Extensive knowledge of Housing Benefit legislation
Experience of working in a Contact Centre environment
Ideally you will have experience of this type of job, but the Council may consider your application if you have the following skillset:

Ability in customer handling techniques
Ability to communicate effectively with all customers, ensuring needs are met
Ability to communicate effectively with customers
Ability to establish good working relationships and communicate clearly at all levels with customers and staff
Ability to listen and question to ascertain the needs of the customer
Ability to maintain accurate and up to date customer and carer records
Ability to problem solve with customers and carers without being directive or controlling
Ability to promote good customer care and principles.
