Finance & Office Assistant

E-vate Ltd – Knutsford - full time/part-time considered

An exciting opportunity has arisen at E-vate Ltd for an experienced Finance & Office Assistant to join our team in Knutsford. The role is to assist within the Finance Department to ensure all Finance processes are accurate and maintained to comply with both E-vate Ltd processes and Statutory requirements. In addition, the role is to provide administrative support for the business.  The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, a can-do attitude and will be currently enjoying a similar role with the ability to get things done.

  • Record and process all incoming purchase ledger invoices on to Sage
  • Monthly process of credit card reconciliation on to Sage
  • Monthly process of telecoms Invoice reconciliation on to Sage
  • Financial analysis for reconciliation/comparison/trends and factors of interest for strategic decision-making
  • Raising project codes
  • Ensure absolute confidentiality in all accounts matters and that security standards are fully implemented, including information security
  • Bank liaison re: funds/transfers
  • Knowledge of Commercial Invoicing/invoicing processes
  • Updating records, processing data, producing reports and analysing figures
  • Collaborating with a Consultant re: data provision/data accuracy and financial analysis
  • Ad hoc financial tasks as requested


  • Supporting the client on boarding process which will include, for example, obtaining and uploading proposals into our folder structure, amongst other tasks
  • Data inputting into our chosen Client Relationship Management (CRM) system/collaborating with a CRM Analyst re: accuracy of data
  • Maintaining accurate records on E-vate’s bespoke project portal
  • Coordinating travel arrangements/Booking Flights and airport parking for staff as and when requested
  • Maintaining stock levels of stationery, printer/shredder and office refreshments
  • Ad hoc administrative duties as requested


  • A minimum of 5 years’+ experience with the latest Sage Applications/an advanced knowledge of Sage Accounting
  • Exceptional IT skills including proficiency with the MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot charts, graphs and advanced charts preparation, use of formulae and analysis
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Previous experience of a Client Relationship Management tool, Microsoft Access or similar database would be an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy (incl. attendance and punctuality)
  • Excellent communication skills – both external and internal / written and verbal
  • Technical knowhow/proficiency
  • Adapting to change, willingness to learn
  • Self-motivation & team working
  • The ability to work under pressure and be proactive
  • Good organisation and administrative skills
