Administrator – Schools on Reserves

Location: Flexible Location - RSPB offices are in the following locations: Exeter, London, Norwich, Birmingham, Denby Dale, Lancaster and Newcastle
Salary starting at: £16,504 to £17,880 pro-rata - Applicants should expect under normal circumstances to receive an offer at the bottom of the advertised range
Hours: Part time, 20 hours per week over 5 days for 39 weeks, term time only
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a skilled administrator who can manage the Schools on Reserves booking process from start to finish, ensuring maximum numbers of schools who enquire with us go on to attend sessions on one of our Schools On Reserves sites throughout England. You will be an excellent verbal and written communicator, who is pro-active and customer service-focused. You will be organised and able to prioritise tasks, especially at busy times. To ensure a smooth booking process, you will be an excellent team player who is able to build productive working relationships with both reserve teams and schools and have knowledge of using tools to collaborate with internal teams effectively. It would be advantageous for you to have experience of how a busy school works, especially around how and when is best to communicate with teachers.

The role will involve data entry, analysis and report writing, and you will have extensive experience in using Microsoft Office applications as well as having an excellent attention to detail. You will be responsible for ensuring information relating to visits is accurately recorded so financial information can be calculated, therefore some knowledge of financial processes and terminology is required.

You may be responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers as required to support with the efficient implementation of our booking process, therefore previous experience of volunteer management would be an advantage.

This role is a term time only role, based at any RSPB office in England, working 20 hours per week spread over 5 days, although some flexibility in working pattern may be required. RSPB offices are in the following locations: Exeter, London, Norwich, Birmingham, Denby Dale, Lancaster and Newcastle.
