Search Industrial have an immediate requirement for several Food Production Workers/Packers to work with our client due to a growth in production volumes within their business.
Although not essential the ideal candidate will have previous experience within a production environment.
This role will involve you working on repetitive tasks, however there are opportunities for progression and training within other areas of the business.
Working within the Dispatch department you will be responsible for carrying out various duties including:
Extensive manual handling duties
Order picking
Temperature checks
Loading lorries
Order plans
Keeping the area of work tidy
Record keeping
Manoeuvring goods using a pallet truck
Wrapping pallets
Strapping boxes
Using a hand scan gun
Fork lift truck driving (may be required but not essential)
Candidates will have previous experience working in a similar role within a chilled food processing environment. All candidates must have excellent working knowledge and understanding of food safety standards, as well as a proven track record of working safely.
This role requires regular medium-heavy physical effort and the ability to work quickly.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 11.30am - 7.30 pm .
