Ashberry Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Floating Housing Support Worker to support vulnerable adults and young people in the Lancashire area, helping them develop as individuals and progress within their communities.
This is a full time role and the hors are: Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm/9:00am-5:00pm
Field based role
Allowance for travel expenses
Travel across Lancashire
Aims of post:
- To provide a quality supported housing service for homeless adults and young people who have low, medium or high support needs, and/or may have complex, chaotic or multiple support needs.
- To enable clients to develop their skills and networks they require to move on and live independently in their own accommodation.
- To develop and deliver client centred support plans that incorporate specific identified smart outcomes and activities to achieve these that are tailored to individual client needs.
- To act as an advocate for the client and to work in partnership with local agencies to meet individual clients support needs and achieve positive outcomes for them.
- To formulate, co-ordinate and deliver intervention strategies when clients are in a crisis situation.
- To assist the Service Manager in marketing and promoting the service to other agencies and organisations.
To be responsible for the delivery of the housing management function for all properties within the post-holder's own patch, including:
- Allocations and void control to ensure that void loss targets are met and that clients are offered accommodation appropriate to their needs and circumstance.
- Rent and service charge income management (applications for housing benefit, current arrears recovery and former tenant arrears recovery) to ensure that income collection targets are met.
- Reporting of repairs and renewals to ensure accommodation is maintained to the required standard.
- Management of anti-social behaviour
- To report on a regular basis on activity/performance as required by the Service Manager, including the preparation of weekly arrears and void reports.
- To collect ineligible service charges from clients on a regular basis and to process the payments in accordance with financial and administrative procedures.
Daily travelling is required.
Business mileage allowance is payable from an agreed base.
To apply for the role of Floating Housing Support Worker you will have previous experience of working within a similar setting and of supporting homeless adults and young people.
An enhanced DBS certificate including clearance to work with children is a necessity for the role along with access to a vehicle and business insurance
