Data Migration Specialist / SQL Developer

Harlequin Software Ltd is a family run software company supplying not for profit organisations with fundraising and accountancy software.

Job Role

The migration of data from a wide range of third part systems into Harlequin CRM and Charitable Funds Software. Data may be in the form of MSSQL databases, MySQL databases, Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, etc.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Proven experience migrating data between different systems, platforms and database schemas.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Client Communications: This role will include significant liaison with clients to ensure the data is migrated according to their operational requirements.
• Project / time management - the ability to work on multiple projects to strict project deadlines.
• Exposure to VB.NET would be advantageous.
• Key Duties
• Migrate data out of often old/legacy systems into the Harlequin CRM / CFD software.
• Assist with coordinating software upgrades and installations.
• Liaising with customers (both new and existing clients) on the data projects to ensure data is migrated as required.
• Liaising with Customer Success Manager of the project delivery status.
• Handling customer support requests.
• Documentation of internal and external processes.
• Logging all data work on Zendesk ticketing software.
• Assisting with third line database support.
• Responsibility for SQL source control.
• Maintenance of database integrity and structure.
• Participation in additional SQL development work when needed (e.g. assisting the development team).
