Our client is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Health & Safety consultancy that’s passionate about keeping Businesses and their employees safe! Celebrating their 20th Anniversary in 2020 they offer a range of health and safety consultancy solutions, including a retained service and specialist advice, as well as general consultancy.  

They’re now looking for a Health and Safety Advisor / Consultant to join their team in Bristol and deliver incredible results for a range of businesses across the West Country.

This is an exciting opportunity for a NEBOSH qualified health and safety professional to develop their career with a leading health and safety consultancy in the South-West.

Your Role

As a Health and Safety Advisor / Consultant, you will be tasked with providing health and safety support to customers in person, via email or through the company’s health and safety advice line.

Specifically, you will provide grounded and pragmatic advice that will enable customers to make the right decisions about their health and safety practices. This will include developing a wide range of health and safety documentation

Your role will also involve:

- Producing  policies, risk assessments, safe systems of work, RAMS and records
- Writing blogs, articles, briefings and newsletter contributions
- Conducting site audits and inspections
- Working alongside the admin team to create, develop and implement forms, templates and checklists
- Meeting with new customers, introducing them to the company and their retained service

About You

To be considered as a Health and Safety Advisor / Consultant, you will need:

- A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Experience of providing health and safety support, advice and guidance to a range of SMEs, ideally including businesses supplying services to the construction industry
- Knowledge and/or experience of a variety of SSIP accreditation scheme
- Knowledge of the practical application of health and safety in the workplace
- To own a suitable vehicle, possess a suitable driving licence and the willingness to use this for work purposes

A NEBOSH construction and/or fire certificate would be advantageous however this is not essential.
