Human Resource Advisor - Meat Sector - GBP19k - GBP25k

Our client, a true market leader, are looking to recruit a Human Resource Advisor. Based at their head office in Preston, this will be an exciting opportunity to make a proactive and positive contribution to the HR department and company's future growth.

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager and Liaising with the Senior Human Resource Advisor, you will be arranging interviews as appropriate. Furthermore, you will be collaborating with the Function Managers to support in areas of employee relations and co-ordinating the 3- & 6-month probation review process, issuing relevant documentation and ensuring the process is followed through to conclusion.

Output Requirements & Key Performance Measures:

Undertaking of weekly administrative tasks relating to the payroll function
Utilising and the companies Time and Attendance system including:
- Issuing of clock cards to all new starters/contractors

- Printing holiday cards or other general queries

Provide Function Managers with support in areas of employee relations including: discipline, grievance etc.
Ensure the absence and return to work process is adhered to and arrange disciplinary meetings where required in conjunction with Snr HR Advisor and function Manager
Assist in the recruitment, selection and retention administrative processes in line with company policies and procedures
Place advertisements for roles on the internal notice boards, intranet, company website and any other external media as deemed appropriate
Assist with on boarding process of new employees including the facilitation of inductions as and when required
Implement the leavers process upon receipt of resignation letters including maintaining the new starters/leavers registers
Ensure adherence to general HR policies and procedures that reflect best practice
Enter data into the HR system as and when required so that accurate records are maintained
Maintain the personnel filing system adopting a file as you go approach
Co-ordinate the 3- & 6-month probation review process with the function Managers, issuing relevant documentation and ensure the process is followed through to conclusion
Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support HR colleagues
