Due to continued growth and investment in new technology, we are looking to develop the Compliance and Human Resources expertise in the business to ensure the highest levels of service to our clients and adherence to appropriate legislation.
Responsibilities & day to day tasks
The goal of this position is to ensure a high level of compliance to applicable legislation and internal requirements, primarily in relation to hiring of contract workers to be based at our end clients and the associated Human Resource requirements that arise with this.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a new internal system currently being rolled out, presenting an excellent opportunity to be involved from the ground up.
Onboarding
- Registration and defining requirements for of all new workers onto our internal system 'Engage'
- Maintaining an accurate record of current workers, start dates and contractual obligations
- Ensuring all contractors meet both legal and client requirements, control 'OK TO PAY' status
- Undertake referencing and qualification checks
Contractor Maintenance and care
- Monitoring documentation expiration dates and renewals
- Approve and upload any manual timesheet submissions to internal system
- Advise and be an expert in payment & invoice processes to workers upon start of contract
Legislation
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and act as a point of contract for appropriate legislation specific to recruitment including but not exclusive to;
o Agency Worker Regulations
o The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003
o IR35
HR
- Ensure Owen Daniels are delivering a compliant HR experience to our workers with a focus on
o Agency Worker Regulations & Conduct Regulations
o Right to work requirements, Discrimination & Equality, Working time regulations
o GDPR
- Any other HR practices & procedures suitable to Business needs
Requirements
• High attention to detail
• Experience in a compliance position or where contractual/legal/HR obligations are part of daily life
• Eagerness to develop and improve processes in a growing business
• Personable, confident character - able to deal with a variety of situations and people
Desirables
• Experience in a recruitment, payroll or contractor based industry
• CIPD Qualification or experience in HR Legislations and best practices
