Our growing client are looking to recruit a Welsh Speaking Project Manager (Housing / Energy) in North Wales to effectively develop, manage and enhance key client and stakeholder relationships in the delivery of housing improvement schemes across Wales.

You will project manage the delivery of schemes in communities across South Wales. You will work closely with local authority groups to ensure projects are planned and completed on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver local schemes on time and within budget and develop detailed planning for the end to end project

  • Engage with all allocated contractors

  • Act as key point of contact for local authority contacts in the delivery of schemes

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authority

  • Respond quickly and effectively to any enquiries from local authority customers

  • Agree scheme reporting metrics and determine key success factors with local authority

  • Report to local authority and wider stakeholders on a regular basis, seeking to promote the achievements of the scheme whilst acting responsively to resolve any issues

  • Work with customer team as required to support the successful resolution of customer complaints and appeals

  • Support management of scheme pipeline, managing prioritisation of schemes and any impacts for local relationships

  • Identify, develop and maintain local stakeholder relationships that protect and enhance the reputation of the programme

  • Work proactively with the wider team to plan approach to relationship management on a scheme by scheme basis

  • Highlight key stakeholders in advance of local delivery starting, bringing all parties into a supportive and constructive relationship

  • Seek to build appropriate forums and meeting formats that enable the views of all stakeholders to be properly represented

  • Reporting and evaluation of schemes, focusing on continuous improvement throughout the delivery cycle

  • Produce high quality reports that meet the requirements of the local authority and the Welsh Government

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to speak Welsh essential for the successful candidate

  • Educated to a high standard, degree level or similar

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in a relevant field

  • Successful experience in a client-facing role

  • Experience of liaising with people at differing levels of seniority within an organisation

  • Experience of working with external partners and stakeholders

  • Experience of managing relationships in the public sector

  • Excellent interpersonal skills & relationship-building skills

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills

  • Confident self-starter

  • Excellent team working skills

  • Excellent communicator

  • Full valid driving licence
