Pond Meadow Academy Trust Pond Meadow Academy Trust is a special school in Guildford for children between the ages of 2yrs and 19yrs who have autism or severe and profound learning disabilities. The school converted to a Special Academy on 1st November 2014 and has been judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in our last four inspections.

The school was originally housed in Park Barn until 2007 when we outgrew the premises and moved to the purpose-built site in Larch Avenue, Bellfields. The move to this building has given pupils access to much improved facilities such as specialist Soft-play, IT and DT rooms and a hydrotherapy swimming pool. We currently have 130 pupils taught in class groups of 6 to 8 pupils

Pond Meadow has high expectations for all our pupils and is committed to providing quality education and care which best places our pupils to maximise their learning and potential. The school has a strong focus on education that prepares pupils for life. The school recognises that staff are our biggest asset and are key in delivering educational outcomes for pupils and working collaboratively with families and professionals. Members of staff are in a privileged position to work with pupils, supporting them to achieve.

Due to rising pupil numbers, in line with the pattern in recent years, the school would like to recruit Teaching Assistants (fixed term contracts) and Class Teachers for January 2020. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and we are holding an Open Day for anyone interested in applying.
