Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the Retail Team. 

The role will play a key part in delivering their business volumes and margins in accordance with the company’s KPIs. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for assessing and presenting business opportunities to senior stakeholders and shaping the Retail strategy. This will include new technology & business and financial planning, as well as determining and managing annual budgets.  

As the Retail Business Development Manager, you will have operational responsibility for managing their pricing and volume/margin assessment tools for new and existing dealer business whilst ensuring back office support and contracts are fully compliant. 

There will be a requirement to model new methods of operation as well as assessing risk and reward on all aspects of retail contracts. The role calls for extensive networking with other business functions at Stanlow, including Operations, Finance, Legal and Supply and offers the opportunity of working with the Senior Leadership Team. You will also be extensively involved with business and industry networking opportunities.  

Their ideal candidate will be a self-starter and demonstrate strong commercial acumen and excellent engagement skills. 

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the downstream fuel industry and have experience in either the UK retail dealer business and / or UK direct retail operations. Excellent numeracy and analytical skills is essential.  

To be successful in this role you will be a creative thinker and resourceful, with good entrepreneurial spirit balanced with sound understanding of business risk and reward. You will have a collaborative approach, working with and supporting a small team.
