International Advertising Sales Executive
Role: Full time, permanent
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary: £20,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience + uncapped commission and bonuses
The Company:
MDM Publishing Ltd is a privately-owned business, located in Yeovil, Somerset, UK. The company was formed in November 1999 by business partners Dave Staddon and Mark Seton, who continue to run and play an active role in the business today.
The company currently has a portfolio of five print magazines and six websites and is one of the world’s leading publishers in the fire and safety industry.
The Role:
Due to continued growth we are seeking a self-motivated and customer-focussed Advertising Sales Executive to join our progressive team. Responsible for maintaining and growing sales revenues from new and existing customer accounts, you will manage the advertising sales in our international B2B magazines and on our websites. Through telesales, email and trade events, you will maximise profitability through advertising sales whilst ensuring targets are consistently achieved. Working closely with the Company’s Group Editor, Graphic Designer and Website Manager you will ensure editorial and advertisement copy instructions are effectively communicated to relevant departments whilst ensuring deadlines and customer demands are met.
With a proactive and flexible approach to work, you will act as an ambassador for MDM Publishing Ltd. There are exciting opportunities for international travel, attending industry trade events both in the UK and internationally to continuously raise awareness of our offering and maintain awareness of our competitors. As well as trade events, we attend evening functions and encourage our sales team to host our clients. Responsible for the retention and growth of existing customer accounts and the attainment of new business, you will develop excellent relationships with all stakeholders to ensure we continue to maximise profit and exceed sales targets, while encouraging the development of new business.
The Person:
As a driven and self-motivated Advertising Sales Executive, you will have excellent communication skills and a drive to meet and exceed sales targets. You will be highly organised, a team player, and won’t be fazed by the idea of working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. You will have the ability to build and maintain customer relationships and will always be looking out for new opportunities.
Whilst experience in the sale of print and digital advertising solutions and the ability to speak other languages fluently is desirable, a full clean UK driving licence and the ability to travel both in the UK and internationally is essential. You will be comfortable in using a range of IT systems and proficient with Google Drive Suites. It is essential for candidates to have experience in a sales environment, as well as telesales.
