SF Recruitment are working in partnership with Leicester City Football Club.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Buyer to support the Procurement team with a short term project.
The Club is now continuing to make significant strategic investments across the whole organisation and major expansion plans are in hand. It is an extremely exciting time for the Club with a new state-of-the-art 180-acre, GBP100M training ground set to open next year.
About The Role of the Project Buyer
Based at the King Power Stadium, the key responsibilities for the role include:
Managing tender processes across multiple commodities in accordance with agreed project deliverables
Leading negotiation of commercial tenders, contract terms
Managing suppliers' performance against arrangements and to manage key relationships with stakeholders and consultants
Co-ordinating and supporting cross functional working with senior stakeholders
Engaging with stakeholders to review and challenge specifications and develop robust procurement strategies
Ideal skills and experience required as the Project Buyer:
Demonstrable significant high value procurement/purchasing responsibility which shows good commercial influencing and negotiation skills
An aptitude for dealing with complex issues and limited budgets, reorganising priorities, and multi-tasking on concurrent projects in a frequently changing environment is essential
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Strong commercial acumen
Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously if required
Contract Type - Fixed Term until 31 July, 2020 in return you will be offered an attractive salary and fantastic benefits
