You will be joining a market leader within their industry, who supply products to the aerospace, power transmission, utilities and telecoms sectors to name a few. Their products are innovative in their design and manufactured to the highest quality adhering to strict safety standards.
They have locations throughout the world and due to growth within the business they are now looking to recruit an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis based in Devizes.
This is a newly created position and will report directly into the Plant Quality Manager within the business, and will involve working closely with the Goods Inwards Inspectors,
The main function of the role is to work with my client's suppliers improving the quality from them to reduce the goods inwards inspection process. This will include machined, fabricated and cast metal components along with plastic and others.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 year's experience within a Quality function focused on suppliers.
Other skills required will be:
* Able to read engineering drawings and understand and disseminate engineering information to the supply base.
* Knowledge and experience with Lean and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagrams, Poka Yoke, FMEA, Kaizen, 6s, SPC & Six Sigma.
* Lead Auditor
* Educated to HND level within an Engineering/Quality discipline
